President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has pledged timely solutions to urgent matters, including the delayed water and sewerage project in Dhonfan.

He gave the assurance during a meeting with the Island Council, the Women’s Development Committee, and heads of local institutions as part of his ongoing tour of Baa Atoll.

Issues raised included recommendations for the planned land reclamation project, progress on works related to the football ground, the need for new council office premises due to space constraints, and staffing shortages at the Health Centre. The Council also expressed appreciation for the planned upgrade of school facilities.

The President assured that these concerns would receive due consideration and provided updates on ongoing and planned programmes aimed at improving the wellbeing of the Dhonfan community.
