Three remanded in Maalhos murder case

The three men arrested in connection with the murder of Abdulrahman Adam, 65, of Orchidmaage, Alif Alif Maalhos, have been remanded in custody.
The suspects were identified as Mohammed Wisam, 22, Ahmed Faris, 27, and Ahmed Aashid, 27, all from Maalhos. The court has ordered Wisam and Faris to remain in custody until the end of their trial, while Aashid was remanded for five days.
As part of the investigation, police searched the homes of the three suspects on 10 August and confiscated several items, including clothing.
Abdulrahman was discovered with severe injuries at his residence in the early hours of 13 July. He was initially treated at the Maalhos Health Centre but later succumbed to his injuries. His body was sent to Thiruvananthapuram, India, on 21 July for a post-mortem examination. Police later revealed interim autopsy findings, which confirmed head trauma as the cause of death.
