On the occasion of National Day, the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) is set to conduct a parade in Malé today

The parade will begin at 4:30 p.m. and move through the main streets of the capital. 

According to MNDF, the procession will halt at four points: in front of Dhivehi Bahuge Academy, at the Chandhanee Magu–Majeedhee Magu intersection, near Million Bookshop on Majeedhee Magu, and at the northwest corner of Kalhuthukkalaa Koshi on Boduthakurufaanu Magu.

The MNDF Band will perform during the parade, accompanied by additional activities along the route.

National Day is marked annually on the 1st of Rabi’ul Awwal in the Hijri calendar. While this year’s official celebrations are being held in Haa Alif Utheemu, events are also taking place across the country.
