The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has arranged temporary shelter for a resident affected by a fire that broke out Sunday morning at an apartment in the Maafannu district of Malé City, which caused extensive damage to the residence.

According to the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), the incident occurred in an apartment on the sixth floor of M. Afza. The fire was reported to the Fire and Rescue Service at 07:43 am, after which firefighters were immediately deployed to the scene.
