The Government has officially commenced construction of the police station in Haa Dhaalu Hanimaadhoo.

The launch of work at the site coincided with President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s ongoing visit to the islands of the atoll. The project was formally inaugurated at a ceremony attended by Internal Security and Technology Minister Ali Ihusaan and Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen, with the construction contract awarded to the Road Development Corporation (RDC).

This project forms part of President Dr Muizzu’s policy to enhance security services nationwide. In line with this objective, the Government plans to establish police stations on all islands within two years.
