The Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) has confirmed the signing of more than 2,000 contracts for flats under the Gedhoruveriya Housing Scheme. The agreement process, which commenced on 21 July, has been ongoing without interruption on all working days except public holidays.

FDC noted that completing over 2,000 agreements within just 24 days represents a major milestone for the corporation. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure has already submitted the names of 3,402 applicants to FDC for finalisation.

To manage the volume of applications, the corporation has established around 10 counters at the Hulhumalé synthetic track area. FDC has also urged beneficiaries to prepare all required documents in advance to help accelerate the signing process.

According to the Ministry, priority in the allocation of three-bedroom flats will be given to applicants with scores above 76. The remaining units will be distributed among those scoring more than 75, through a lottery system. Two-room units, meanwhile, will be reserved for applicants who achieved over 73.
