Bank of Maldives (BML) has contributed to the establishment of a sensory classroom at Aminiya School, as part of its efforts to support inclusive education.
The facility, named “IWonder”, has been designed to provide a more suitable learning environment for students with special educational needs, with over 170 students currently enrolled in SEN classes at the school.
As part of the initiative, the bank assisted in equipping the classroom and supporting improvements to create a more accessible and supportive space tailored to students’ developmental requirements.
BML has previously extended similar support to schools across the Maldives, including projects at Imaduddin School, Hiriya School, Salahuddin School, Veymandoo School and Gaafaru School, as well as providing equipment to SEN programmes in dozens of schools nationwide.
The bank stated that initiatives aimed at supporting students with special needs remain a continued focus, with ongoing efforts to strengthen inclusive learning environments.
