Malé Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) Deputy Managing Director Ibrahim Shahid has been dismissed following a decision taken at a meeting of the company’s board.

Deputy managing directors of State-owned enterprises are appointed and dismissed with the approval of the board. MWSC’s board comprises six members, while the company’s executive management team consists of 11 members.

Shahid was appointed to the position on August 3, 2025, and previously served as Deputy Managing Director of Regional Airports Company Limited.

Following his dismissal, Abdul Salam Mohamed continues to serve as Deputy Managing Director at MWSC.
