President extends Independence Day greetings to Malaysia

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has described Malaysia as a valued partner of the Maldives, reaffirming his commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties on the occasion of Malaysia’s Independence Day.

President Dr Muizzu conveyed warm greetings and good wishes to Malaysia’s King and Prime Minister on behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives. He expressed confidence that the strong relationship between the two nations, further consolidated by his state visit to Malaysia in April, would continue to grow.

The President also highlighted the scope for expanded economic cooperation, noting that enhanced engagement would open new opportunities for the peoples of both countries. In his message, he extended his best wishes for the good health and well-being of the King and Prime Minister, and for the continued progress and prosperity of the Malaysian people.

Sharing his sentiments on his official X account, President Dr Muizzu reiterated his optimism for deeper collaboration between the Maldives and Malaysia, underlining the importance of building on their longstanding partnership.
