The first 340 participants of the Maldives National Service Programme have departed for three months of training in Maafilaafushi. Initiated by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, the flagship scheme aims to instil patriotism, Islamic values, and disaster preparedness. Over 1,200 youths applied, with participants set to receive a monthly allowance.
