Velana International Airport has announced changes to its traffic flow, effective from 25 September 2025. According to Maldives Airports Company Limited, all inbound vehicles will be required to use the new access road, while drop-offs to Terminals 1 and 2 must follow the existing road. Outbound traffic, including parking and public exits, will be routed through the new road in front of Terminal 1. Vehicles exiting near the western parking area must use the existing road. The changes are aimed at easing congestion and improving access to the airport.
