The Government has launched a search for an international consultancy firm to formulate a 20-Year National Development Plan, with the Ministry of Finance leading the procurement process.

The consultation process, inaugurated by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu on November 6, aims to transform the Maldives into a fully developed nation with an emphasis on modern technology and the digital economy. 

Following a directive from the Ministry of Housing, Land and Urban Development, the initiative aims to create a comprehensive framework for sustainable economic, social, environmental, and urban development in the Maldives over the next 20 years.

The Ministry has established a clear timeline for submissions, requiring qualified consultancy firms to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) via post or email before 2:00 p.m. on December 16, 2024. Following initial evaluations, shortlisted candidates will be invited to submit detailed proposals.
