Applications have opened for Maldivian tourism industry stakeholders to participate in the upcoming Qatar Travel Mart (QTM) 2025, scheduled to take place from 24–26 November 2025 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).

The Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) announced that the participation is being organised in collaboration with the Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) and the National Hotels and Guesthouses Association of Maldives (NHGAM).

Qatar Travel Mart is recognised as one of the region’s leading travel and tourism exhibitions, aimed at positioning Qatar as a gateway to the Arabian Gulf and a hub for the global travel industry. The event brings together international tourism boards, hotels, airlines, travel technology firms, tour operators, and media to facilitate business-to-business and business-to-consumer networking.

Qatar has become an important outbound and transit market for the Maldives, with many tourists from Europe and North America travelling through Doha before reaching the country. Given its strategic location and high-spending traveller profile, participation in QTM is expected to help strengthen the Maldives’ presence in the Gulf region and boost arrivals.

Maldivian participants will be represented at a dedicated Maldives pavilion, with options that include counter space, B2B meeting facilities, and branding opportunities. The event will also feature the QTM Conference, which hosts policymakers, industry leaders, and tourism experts for panel discussions and knowledge sharing.

According to MATATO, registration is now open through their website. The participation fee is USD 1,500, with a 5 per cent discount offered to members of MATATO, VMC, and NHGAM. The application deadline is 15 October 2025, while the cancellation deadline is 30 September 2025.

MATATO has invited resorts, guesthouses, travel agencies, and tour operators to take part in the event, noting that it offers an opportunity to promote the Maldives and strengthen partnerships within one of the world’s fastest-growing travel markets.
