President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has officially renamed Tradenet Maldives Corporation Limited as Maldives Innovation and Digital Company Limited through a Presidential Decree issued on 9 October 2025.

Established in 2019, Tradenet Maldives was established to provide integrated trade facilitation services in the Maldives. The company was responsible for operating the “Single Window” system, designed to streamline trade processes and enhance efficiency in import and export operations.

The new name signifies a broader mandate aligned with the Maldives 2.0 Roadmap 2025–2028 – Journey to Digital Transformation, launched earlier this year. The transition places the company within the Government’s technology and innovation framework, with a focus on advancing the nation’s digital transformation agenda.

The Presidential Decree stated that Maldives Innovation and Digital Company Limited will serve as a key implementing agency to realise national digitalisation goals under the corporate identity “Maldives 2.0”. The rebranding reflects the Administration’s commitment to building a modern, digitally empowered Maldives through innovation and enhanced public services.
