Development works are underway in Shaviyani Maroshi with the launch of several major projects aimed at strengthening local facilities and services during President Dr Mohamed Muizzu's visit to the island. Ground was broken for a new Fitness and Recreation Centre by Sports Minister Abdulla Rafiu alongside Fenaka MD Mohamed Najah and local council leaders. The Maroshi Road Development Project was also launched alongside construction of a new police station and new council secretariat. The initiatives will provide improved sports and wellness spaces, better transport links, enhanced security, and upgraded administrative services for the community.
