The annual Pink Ribbon Run-Walk has been successfully concluded across the Maldives to raise awareness about breast cancer.

Organised by the Cancer Society of Maldives (CSM), the event took place in 32 islands and three resorts, alongside the main gathering held at Hulhumalé Central Park. The initiative aims to promote early detection, encourage regular screening, and support those affected by breast cancer.

CSM has long been at the forefront of cancer awareness and advocacy, conducting a range of activities throughout the year to educate communities and provide psychosocial support for individuals undergoing cancer treatment.

The Pink Ribbon Run-Walk has received continued support from the Bank of Maldives (BML) since 2016. The bank has not only assisted in organising the nationwide event but has also contributed financial aid to help fund CSM’s ongoing programmes and outreach efforts.

This year’s event once again demonstrated the strong community spirit across the Maldives, uniting participants from various islands and resorts in a shared commitment to raising awareness and supporting cancer prevention and care.
