Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the recipients of the BML Scholarship Fund for 2025.

This year’s recipients are Mohamed Aahil Ahmed, Mariyam Jaishaan Jaleel and Mohamed Shaum Hilmy, who will have the opportunity to pursue undergraduate degrees in banking and finance-related fields at top 200 universities worldwide.

The BML Scholarship Fund is a fully funded, merit-based programme that covers tuition fees, a monthly stipend, visa fees, book and establishment allowances, and airfare.

Launched in 2022, the programme selects three students each year. A total of nine Maldivian students are currently studying abroad under the scholarship at leading universities in the United Kingdom and Australia.

The scholarship is open annually to three Maldivian citizens aged 18 to 25 who have completed A Levels with passes in all subjects. Applicants must choose an undergraduate degree in banking and finance from a university ranked among the world’s top 200 by the Times Higher Education University Rankings and must not be receiving any other scholarship at the time of study.
