Bank of Maldives (BML) has introduced WhatsApp as an official channel for delivering One-Time Passwords (OTPs) used to verify transactions.

With this addition, customers can now choose to receive OTPs through WhatsApp on their registered mobile numbers, alongside the existing options of SMS, authenticator applications, and email.

Customers wishing to enable WhatsApp OTPs can update their preferences through BML Internet Banking or the BML Mobile Banking App. Activation requires verification through one of the existing OTP channels to ensure account security.
