Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed has praised President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s leadership on the occasion of the Administration completing two years in office.

In a statement shared on X, Minister Saeed highlighted significant progress in political stability, economic growth, and national development.

He stated that the President had successfully guided the Maldives toward a “stable and principled democracy” grounded in constitutional values. He noted that strengthening political stability, accelerating development, and consolidating national security had been central priorities of the Government over the past two years.

The minister said he had observed President Dr Muizzu’s “dedicated and meticulous” approach to governance as a member of the Cabinet, adding that the Administration had achieved notable results despite the challenges it faced when assuming office on 17 November 2023.

Minister highlighted improvements in the country’s economic trajectory, pointing to strengthened trade relations and what he described as heightened investor confidence. He attributed these developments to the Administration’s policy direction and its emphasis on building a resilient economy.

The Economic Minister expressed confidence that the Maldives would continue to make progress on key socioeconomic objectives under President Dr Muizzu’s leadership and conveyed well wishes to the President, Cabinet members, political teams, and others contributing to national development.
