President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has congratulated Maldivian athletes for winning gold and silver medals at the Zambia International 2025 badminton tournament, sending his best wishes in a message posted on his official X account.

In his post, the President highlighted that this marks the second time Fathimath Nabaha Abdul Razzaq and Hussain Zayan Shaheed Zaki have secured a Badminton World Federation (BWF) title together as a mixed doubles pair.

Representing the Maldives, Nabaha and Zayan clinched the gold medal in the Mixed Doubles event, earning their second BWF championship as a team.

In the Women’s Doubles category, Nabaha and Nabeeha won a silver medal.
