Foreign Minister Dr Khaleel departs for Indo-Pacific Forum in Brussels

Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Abdulla Khaleel has departed for Brussels, Belgium, to participate in the fourth European Union Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum. 

His attendance follows an official invitation from Kaja Kallas, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission.

The Forum, scheduled to take place from 20–21 November 2025, represents a significant platform for advancing cooperation between the European Union and countries across the Indo-Pacific region.

During the visit, Minister Dr Khaleel will hold bilateral meetings with counterparts from partner countries on the sidelines of the Forum. He is also set to take part in a roundtable discussion titled “Common Endeavours for a Clean and Sustainable Future.”

The Maldives’ participation in the EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum underscores the nation’s continued commitment to strengthening regional and global partnerships through constructive dialogue and multilateral engagement.
