The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has announced that the revetment kerb stonework for the ongoing shore protection project in Sh. Komandoo has been completed.

In an update shared on their official X account, MTCC confirmed the successful completion of the revetment kerb stonework.

Following the approval of the Komandoo harbour rectification variation, preparations are now underway to begin this phase of work.

MTCC also confirmed that the boulder revetment work under the Mathi Komandoo reclamation project is complete. The team is now preparing to begin the geobag revetment work.

This project represents an important initiative aimed at protecting Komandoo's shoreline and enhancing the island's economic and social well-being. Once completed, the eroding areas of the island will be protected, providing residents with improved services and enhanced coastal security.
