Changes have been made to the composition of the Public Accounts Committee and the Committee on National Security Services (241 Committee) of the People’s Majlis.

Deputy Speaker of Parliament and Dhiggaru constituency MP Ahmed Nazim has stepped down from both committees at his own request.

Announcing the changes during today’s sitting, Speaker Abdul Raheem Abdulla said Nazim has been replaced in the 241 Committee by North Fuvahmulah MP Hamad Abdulla.

In the Public Accounts Committee, Nazim has been replaced by Central Machchangolhi MP Ahmed Zameer.

Meanwhile, Nazim has been appointed to the Environment and Climate Change Committee, replacing Funadhoo constituency MP Ahmed Mamdhooh.

Nazim will also continue to serve as a member of the State-Owned Enterprises Committee, which oversees matters related to Government-owned companies.
