Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed has reiterated the Government’s commitment to recognising entrepreneurial excellence and expanding opportunities for Maldivian businesses.

He made the remarks while attending the Maldives’ first-ever MSME Awards, organised by the Business Centre Corporation (BCC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.

He stated that the initiative reflects President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s priority of empowering MSMEs and fostering a resilient, opportunity-driven economy. The Minister added that the Government remains dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs, broadening access to opportunities, and strengthening the foundations for sustainable, long-term growth.

The inaugural MSME Awards is a significant step towards promoting innovation, celebrating business achievements, and enhancing the country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
