First Lady Sajida Mohamed officiated the opening of the Football Association of Maldives (FAM) Women’s League 2025 on 1 December 2025, attending the league’s first match held at Henveiru Football Stadium.

She was welcomed on arrival by FAM President Ahmed Thoriq, Senior Vice President Ali Ibrahim, General Secretary Ahmed Zareer, and Minister of State for Sports Abdul Razzaq Ibrahim.

The opening match saw Victory Sports Club secure a commanding 6–0 win over TC Sports Club. Following the match, the First Lady presented the Player of the Match award on behalf of FAM.

The Women’s League 2025 will continue throughout the month, concluding on 22 December.
