Member of Parliament for the North Mahchangolhi constituency, Ibrahim Mohamed, has commended President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s commitment to resolving the country’s housing challenges.

In a social media post featuring an image of ongoing reclamation works at Rasmalé, carried out using Jan De Nul’s Cristóbal Colón, one of the world’s largest Trailer Suction Hopper Dredgers, the MP stated that the President is delivering on his pledges to the public. He contrasted this with the previous administration, which he said had failed to meet its own commitments on housing.

MP Ibrahim Mohamed noted that, despite efforts by the opposition to portray President Dr Muizzu as unsuccessful, visible progress in the reclamation projects demonstrates the Administration’s focus on delivering results.

The Government has announced plans to develop Rasmalé as an eco-city, with 25,000 land plots allocated for housing. The first 15,000 plots are scheduled to be handed over to recipients by April.
