Visit Maldives Corporation is promoting the Maldives’ high-end tourism offerings at ILTM Cannes 2025, the global luxury travel trade exhibition taking place from 1–4 December at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès. The event brings together leading travel buyers, tour operators, and designers.
The Maldives’ participation forms part of a wider strategy to strengthen its position as a premier luxury destination, with a focus on attracting affluent travellers seeking exclusive experiences. The delegation is highlighting private island resorts, overwater villas, wellness retreats, fine-dining concepts, and bespoke high-end services. Representatives from several leading Maldivian properties, including Lily Hotels, The Nautilus Maldives, and Amilla Maldives, are attending the event alongside Visit Maldives.
The Maldives has intensified its global luxury marketing efforts in 2025, launching a Superyacht Campaign and expanding partnerships with elite tour operators. The destination has also secured international exposure through renowned media platforms such as Condé Nast Traveler, Vogue, and Wanderlust.
Looking ahead, Visit Maldives is developing a private jet strategy for 2026 targeted at high-net-worth travellers, aligning with the national goal of increasing revenue through luxury tourism.
Visit Maldives CEO Ibrahim Shiuree stated that the Maldives’ presence at ILTM Cannes underscores the country’s commitment to elevating its profile within the global luxury travel market and strengthening ties with industry partners.
