President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed departed this morning on a one-day official visit to Raa Dhuvaafaru, where several development projects are scheduled to be launched alongside ceremonies marking the completion of multiple initiatives on the island.

The visit coincides with extended Fishermen’s Day celebrations in Raa Dhuvaafaru, which hosted this year’s Masveringe Gunzaru. A series of events linked to the occasion are set to take place throughout the day.

As part of the programme, President Dr Muizzu is expected to participate in various Fishermen’s Day activities, including the official commemorative ceremony scheduled for this evening.

The President is accompanied on the visit by several Cabinet Ministers and senior officials from key Government institutions.
