President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has inaugurated several key public service facilities in Raa Dhuvaafaru, including an ATM, a fuel skid for fishermen, RTL bus services and a newly developed Health Centre building.

The fuel skid was inaugurated to enable fishermen to access fuel at State Trading Organization (STO) rates. This facility marks the first of 18 such fuel skids planned to be established nationwide to support the fishing community and reduce operational costs.

An ATM operated by Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) was also inaugurated as part of efforts to improve access to essential banking services on the island. In addition, RTL bus services were launched to enhance public transport connectivity and improve access to key services for residents.

The President also inaugurated the newly developed Health Centre building in Dhuvaafaru, which introduces expanded medical services for the island. New facilities include X-ray services, emergency care, dental services and ultrasound scanning. Following the inauguration, President Dr Muizzu toured the Health Centre to inspect the upgraded facilities.

The inaugurations form part of the Government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen essential services, improve living standards and support key sectors such as fisheries, healthcare and transport across the islands.
