The Lit Fest 2025, a youth focused event aimed at nurturing talent across creative and artistic fields, is set to begin this weekend.

The event is being organised by the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts and will be held from 25 to 27 of this month at the Youth Hub.

According to the Ministry, the festival is targeted at young people aged between 14 and 20 and will feature a wide range of creative activities, including arts, baking, handicrafts, and entertainment. Planned activities include handicrafts, live art stations, clay art, henna art, calligraphy, pastry making, embroidery, and accessories design.

The live art component will feature digital art, 3D animation, singing, dancing, drumming, drama, freestyle performances, musical instrument playing, content creation, open mic sessions, stand-up comedy, and storytelling.

The Ministry said it will cover arrangements and expenses related to the activities, as well as provide the necessary administrative support for participants. The three day festival will be open to the public, and participants will be given the opportunity to sell their products during the event.

The Ministry also noted that children will be allowed to participate, provided they are accompanied by a parent. Interested participants can register by scanning the QR codes shared on the Ministry’s official social media platforms.
