President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has reaffirmed his commitment to building an inclusive Maldives in a message shared to celebrate World Braille Day.

In the post on X, the President highlighted the importance of Braille in opening doors to learning, independence and dignity for persons with visual impairments. He stated that an inclusive society is one where everyone can access information and opportunities without barriers.

President Dr Muizzu also reiterated that compassion would continue to shape national policies, with inclusion placed at the centre of decision-making, and accessibility ensured so that no one is left behind.

World Braille Day is observed internationally on 4 January each year to raise awareness about the importance of Braille as a means of communication for people who are blind or visually impaired.
