The People’s National Congress (PNC) has appointed members to its Youth Wing Steering Committee and Women’s Wing Steering Committee.

Heena Waleed has been appointed as President of the Women’s Wing, while Hanan Mohamed Rasheed has been appointed to lead the Youth Wing Steering Committee.

Latest statistics released by the Elections Commission show that PNC is currently the largest political party in the Maldives, with its membership exceeding 74,000.

The party has been strengthening its internal organisational structure and has begun preparations and campaigning activities for the upcoming Local Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) elections.
