The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Northern Area Command, in partnership with the L. Fonadhoo Women's Development Society, hosted a fire awareness class on the island yesterday, aimed at empowering residents with crucial fire safety knowledge and skills.

The comprehensive class addressed a range of important topics, including the common causes of fires, effective strategies for extinguishing flames, and the proper use of fire extinguishers and fire blankets. Attendees also participated in practical demonstrations of firefighting techniques, enabling them to practice and reinforce their learning in realistic scenarios.

A total of 30 residents from the island participated in the session, which featured valuable insights from firefighters stationed at the Naifar Fire Station. This collaborative initiative highlights the dedication of both the MNDF and local organizations to improve community safety and preparedness for potential fire emergencies, fostering a culture of awareness and responsiveness among the island's residents.
