The Sports Commission of Maldives and  Ministry of Sports, Fitness and Recreation has launched a new digital platform, “Sportsgate”, aimed at streamlining engagement between sports organisations and the Commission. The portal was inaugurated by Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation Abdulla Raafiu and Commissioner of Sports Mohamed Thalal .

According to the Ministry, the platform will enable clubs, associations and academies to carry out official transactions digitally, including registrations, submission of regulations and other administrative processes. The portal is also designed to improve access to key information and facilitate the digital archiving of documents, marking a step towards strengthening the country’s sports governance framework.
