Chief Inspector of Police Waleed Saeed has stated that public trust in the police has begun to rise.

Speaking on MMTV's Bodu Khabaru programme, Chief Inspector Waleed said that the results of increased police presence on the streets are now becoming visible. He stated that crime has decreased in areas previously identified as high-crime zones, and consequently, public trust in the police has increased.

The Chief Inspector also noted that business owners in some areas of Male' are sharing operational information with the police and highlighted key points for public awareness during emergencies.

Furthermore, he emphasised the need to conduct training programmes for security personnel on the use of fire extinguishers and stressed the importance of preparing such personnel as thoroughly as possible for emergency situations.

Chief Inspector Waleed also acknowledged and expressed gratitude for the public's cooperation in assisting police with their duties during incidents.
