Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development Dr Abdulla Muththalib has said the deadline for applications under ongoing housing schemes will not be extended beyond the current date.

Speaking at a press conference held by the ministry, minister Dr Muththalib noted that the deadline has already been extended multiple times due to various reasons, adding that the final deadline now remains set for 11:59 p.m. on May 31.

He said applications for both land plots and flats must be submitted before the deadline, assuring that no further extensions will be granted.

Under the scheme, 15,000 land plots measuring 1,250 square feet will be allocated to Malé residents, alongside 7,900 housing units as part of the Government’s housing programme.
