The State Trading Organization (STO) has introduced pharmaceutical products from Bayer to the Maldives, in efforts to strengthen the country’s healthcare sector.

The products were launched at a special event held in Malé, alongside a training programme for healthcare professionals. The event brought together senior health sector officials, local medical practitioners and international experts to facilitate knowledge-sharing and professional engagement. 

STO stated the initiative aims to introduce advanced treatment solutions and expand access to modern healthcare options. Discussions during the programme covered a range of areas, including cardiovascular diseases, kidney conditions, hormonal disorders, internal medicine and women’s health.

STO Healthcare stated that the treatments are based on scientific research and have been proven effective in improving patient outcomes in other countries. The products have been introduced to the Maldives in accordance with regulatory approval from the Maldives Food and Drug Authority.

The collaboration between STO Healthcare and Bayer reflects ongoing efforts to enhance the national healthcare system and improve the quality of medical services available to the public.
