President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended condolences following the passing of former Member of Parliament and Special Parliament member Mohamed Ramiz.

In a message shared on X, the President described the late Mohamed Ramiz as an individual who had served the Maldives in the fields of tourism and trade alongside being a parliamentarian. He also extended condolences to the bereaved family and relatives.

The President further prayed for Almighty Allah to grant forgiveness and eternal peace to the late Mohamed Ramiz and to bless him with Paradise.

Mohamed Ramiz passed away at the age of 74. His funeral prayer is scheduled to be held at the Islamic Centre following Asr prayers today.
