The Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Endowments has announced that Eid al-Adha prayers this year will be held in large congregations across four designated locations in Malé City, alongside prayers in 25 mosques across the Greater Malé Region. The main congregation sites include the Maafannu Stadium area, Vilimalé Football Stadium, Hulhumalé Phase I synthetic track and the Hulhumalé Phase II sports complex.

According to the ministry, Eid prayers will begin at 7:00 a.m. Authorities stated that if weather conditions deteriorate, prayers will instead be held in all mosques where Friday prayers are usually conducted. This year’s Eid al-Adha is scheduled to be celebrated on May 27.
