A new digital eyewear fitting technology developed by ZEISS has been introduced in the Maldives, with Minister of Health, Family and Welfare Geela Ali officially launching the ZEISS VISUFIT 1000.
The event, held at EyeCare Hospital, also signified EyeCare's appointment as the exclusive ZEISS Vision Expert in the Maldives, making it the country's authorised provider of ZEISS vision care solutions. The partnership will also see EyeCare offer ZEISS lenses designed to help reduce eye strain associated with prolonged use of digital devices.
The ZEISS VISUFIT 1000 uses three-dimensional scanning technology to provide more accurate eyewear measurements and personalised frame fitting, helping users achieve greater comfort and precision. EyeCare stated that the collaboration aims to improve access to internationally recognised eye care technology and personalised vision solutions in the Maldives.
EyeCare has been providing ophthalmic services in the Maldives for over 20 years. The company said the partnership reflects its commitment to introducing advanced eye care technology to the country, while ZEISS said it expects the collaboration to further enhance eye care standards in the Maldives.
