PCB appoints board members to three State-owned companies

The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) has appointed new members to the boards of Business Centre Corporation (BCC), Maldives Fund Management Corporation (MFMC) and Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company Limited (MIFCO).
PCB announced that Eenas Naseer, has been appointed to the BCC board, Hussain Abdul-Wahid to the board of MFMC, and Fathimath Ghaziya Fathuhee to the board of MIFCO.
Eenas Naseer currently serves as Finance Director at the Ministry of Fisheries, Agriculture and Ocean Resources and has extensive experience in public financial management, budgeting and financial reporting. The PCB said his appointment is intended to strengthen BCC's corporate governance and support its efforts to expand assistance for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Hussan Abdul-Wahid, an accountant at the Ministry of Finance's Treasury and Public Accounts Department, has more than 15 years of experience in accounting, auditing and public financial management. He previously served as Director General of State Internal Audit and has also held senior positions at the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA), Maldives State Shipping Company and Island Line.
Ghaziya brings extensive experience in public debt management, fiscal risk analysis and government financing. She previously served as a Debt Strategy and Risk Management Consultant, held senior positions in the Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises, and currently serves as a non-executive board member of Addu International Airport.
Members of the boards of State-owned enterprises are appointed by the PCB following nominations from the President's Office.
