Visit Maldives has partnered with the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) 2026 as the Official Destination Partner, strengthening regional tourism cooperation and promoting excellence in the travel and hospitality sector.
The partnership was formalised during the SATA 2026 Partnership Signing Ceremony held at Barceló Nasandhura Malé, marking the start of preparations for the 10th edition of the regional tourism awards. Visit Maldives CEO and Managing Director Ibrahim Shiuree signed the partnership agreement on behalf of the organisation.
As the Official Destination Partner, Visit Maldives will support SATA 2026, which brings together leading hotels, resorts, airlines, tour operators and tourism professionals from across South Asia to recognise achievements in the industry.
Visit Maldives said the partnership reflects its efforts to strengthen regional engagement and promote the Maldives as a destination for leisure travel, international events, conferences and tourism industry gatherings.
The South Asian Travel Awards, established over a decade ago, recognise excellence across hospitality, aviation, travel services and destination management. The 2026 edition is expected to bring together tourism stakeholders from across the region to celebrate innovation and growth within the industry.
Visit Maldives said it will continue working with regional and international partners to promote the Maldives globally and support the sustainable development of tourism.
