The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure has announced that Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) will carry out all necessary transactions to facilitate the signing of agreements with recipients of the 4,000 flats developed under the Gedhoruveriyaa housing scheme in Hulhumalé Phase Two.

In a statement, the Ministry confirmed that preparations are underway to commence the signing process next week, starting with recipients allocated units in towers that have been fully completed. The agreement signing will be conducted entirely by FDC.

The Ministry further clarified that individuals selected to sign their agreements will be notified solely through the official Gedhoruveriyaa Portal. It stressed that neither the Ministry nor FDC will contact recipients via phone calls or SMS unless they have received prior notification through the portal.

Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious communication that may be linked to fraudulent activity related to the housing scheme.

The 4,000 flats being constructed across 32 towers by Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) constitute the largest social housing project currently underway in the Greater Malé Region. The project will feature a mix of three-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments.

Two Indian companies have been contracted to develop the 32 residential towers under the project. Of these, 16 towers, named Amaan Udhares, are being constructed by Kalpataru Projects International Limited (KPIL), while the remaining 16 towers, named Amaan Dhoadhi, are being built by the National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC).
