President embarks on Noonu atoll tour

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has embarked on a tour to visit all inhabited islands in Noonu Atoll.
The president’s trip follows as part of his ongoing commitment to engage directly with local communities and assess development needs across the country.
During President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s visit to Noonu Atoll, he is scheduled to visit 13 inhabited islands, including Hen'badhoo, Holhudhoo, Lhohi, Kudafari, Ken'dhikulhudhoo, Velidhoo, Manadhoo, Magoodhoo, Maalhendhoo, Maafaru, Miladhoo, Fodhdhoo, and Landhoo.
According to the President’s Office, during this tour, President Dr Muizzu will meet with residents, Island Councils, and Women’s Development Committees (WDC) to discuss development priorities and gain insight into the challenges faced by the communities.
In addition, the President will inaugurate several development projects across the islands, including fitness and recreation centres and new police posts. He will also launch several health and education initiatives aimed at enhancing essential services in the region.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu is accompanied by several Cabinet Ministers and heads of government institutions.
According to the President’s Office, the visit is part of his nationwide effort to visit all inhabited islands across the Maldives to engage with local councils and WDCs and to directly hear from the people about their needs and concerns.
The President is scheduled to conclude his tour on Thursday.
