Road Development Corporation Limited (RDC) has been contracted with the third phase of Kulhudhuffushi City road development project. 

Minister of State for Construction and Infrastructure Ahmed Hassan Rasheed signed the agreement on behalf of the Ministry, while Managing Director of RDC, Brigadier General (Retired) Ali Zuhair, signed on behalf of the Corporation, on 30 July.

The contract is valued at MVR 100.5 million and is scheduled to be implemented over a period of 730 days.

Under the project, a 3.4-kilometre stretch of road in Kulhudhuffushi City will be tarred. The works will also include the construction of pavements, installation of a drainage system, road marking, and the placement of sign boards across the area.

The scope further includes the designing of all unplanned roads within the city, with the aim of improving infrastructure and enhancing overall connectivity in Kulhudhuffushi City.
