President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has inaugurated the new premises of AA. Himandhoo Health Centre during his ongoing visit to Alifu Alifu Atoll.
The new facility includes a public health services unit, a smoking cessation clinic, and a non-communicable diseases clinic, as well as dedicated maternal and child health clinics. These additions aim to strengthen healthcare provision and improve access to essential services for residents of Himandhoo and neighbouring islands.
In addition to opening the new health centre building, the President is scheduled to launch the construction of a new police station on the island. During his stay, he will also meet with members of the Himandhoo Island Council, the Women’s Development Committee, and local residents.
The President was warmly received upon arrival in Himandhoo by community leaders, institutional heads, and island residents upon his arrival.
Over the course of his three-day tour of Alifu Alifu Atoll, President Dr Muizzu will visit eight inhabited islands, including Thoddoo, Rasdhoo, Ukulhas, Mathiveri, Bodufolhudhoo, Feridhoo, and Maalhos.
