The People’s National Congress (PNC) has announced new appointments to the positions of Registrar and Deputy Registrar.

The party said Mohamed Shakeel has been appointed as Registrar, while Ahmed Hamdhan Nasir has been appointed as Deputy Registrar.

The appointments were announced alongside the naming of members to the party’s Women’s Wing Steering Committee and Youth Wing Steering Committee earlier today.

Latest statistics released by the Elections Commission show that the People’s National Congress is currently the largest political party in the Maldives, with its membership exceeding 74,000.

The party has been strengthening its internal organisational structure and has begun preparations and campaign activities for the upcoming Local Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) elections.
