Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has launched its annual blood donation programme, scheduled for 31 January and 1 February at the Airport Recreation Centre (ARC) at Velana International Airport.

The initiative is being conducted in collaboration with the Maldives Blood Service (MBS). Traditionally open only to MACL staff, this year’s programme has been expanded to include Government agencies, institutions, companies operating at Velana International Airport, as well as resort employees.

MACL stated that the purpose of the programme is to assist MBS in addressing the recurring challenge of obtaining sufficient blood supplies, particularly during the month of Ramadan when shortages are more common.

The blood donation drive is part of MACL’s ongoing commitment to community service and public health. Interested participants are advised to register through the portal.
