MACL inaugurates first batch of Security Officer Training Program

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has inaugurated the first batch of Security Officer Training Program, aimed at strengthening security operations and technical standards across airport facilities.

The inauguration ceremony was held at Hulhule Island Hotel and was graced by Controller General of Immigration and Commissioner of Police (Retd) Ahmed Faseeh, Senior officials present included Head of Estate Security Service General Manager, along with other departmental representatives.

According to MACL, the five-day programme is being conducted by the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement, in collaboration with the Maldives Police Service. A total of 28 officers from MACL’s Estate Security Department are participating in the first batch.

The training programme combines theoretical instruction with practical sessions, covering areas such as legal frameworks, professional and technical ethics, patrol techniques, evidence recognition, self-defence, and physical wellbeing. MACL said the initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance professional capacity and ensure high security standards within airport operations.
