Bank of Maldives (BML) Islamic has announced the winners of its Hajj promotion held as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations.

A total of 10 customers were selected through a grand lucky draw to receive a fully paid Hajj package.

The promotion ran from 23 January 2025 to 31 December 2025 and was open to Maldivians who met at least one of several eligibility criteria during the promotion period. Customers qualified if they had an active BML Islamic financing facility, either new or existing, ensured their salary was credited to a BML Islamic account for a minimum of three consecutive months, opened a General Investment Account with BML Islamic, or held an active BML Islamic credit card.

Customers who met any of the criteria were automatically entered into the grand draw.

Under the grand prize, the bank will cover the full cost of a Hajj trip for each winner. The payment will be made directly to the Maldives Hajj Corporation. The bank stated that it will not be able to arrange a specific Hajj date or guarantee a particular slot, as allocation is subject to the procedures of the Hajj Corporation.
